SUPPLY FEES are set by the publishers and passed on to MusicSeeds families at my cost.  Each term has a new set of supplies, and payment of that supply fee is what registers your child and holds his/her place in an Oak Grove MusicSeeds Studio class.

TUITION FEES will not be raised during the program year (nor during the 2 to 3 years of the sequential programs).  Tuition is due in full at the beginning of the term unless other arrangements have been made.  The following tuition discounts are available in the studio:
  • $10 discount for full payment of tuition & fees received 15 days or more before term's beginning.
  • $10 discount for each additional child in studio programs.
If more than one child in a family is in the same Music Together®  class, an infant under 8 months is tuition-free, a child under 1 year is 1/2 tuition.

WEEKLY CLASSES:  Please make every effort to make it to class weekly and on time--it makes such a difference in your child's comfort with the group.  If your child needs to be absent for any reason, it's helpful to give a call--a makeup session can sometimes be arranged with another class group, and the space made by your absence can allow another family to do a makeup then.

FAMILY PARTICIPATION:  In Music Together®, the parent or caregiver participates fully in the entire class and is a model to the child of having a good time with music-making at any age.  Musikgarten® programs may have parents in class for the first session of each term, and a family sharing-time the last 15 minutes of each class.  During that time, you will get to share activities with your child and the other families, and will be given specific materials for home enrichment during the week.  Please have these children bring all appropriate supplies/projects back to class each week.

All Music Together® and Musikgarten® curricula have high-quality listening  CD's, songbooks, and parent materials, which you will want to make a part of your family's regular out-of-class enjoyment of these programs.  Recent research has shown that parental participation and support in the home is the KEY FACTOR in fostering both musical and intellectual growth in these offerings.  (We knew that, didn't we--just keep it age-appropriate and fun!)

ROUTINES FOR CLASS-DAYS:  Shoes are to be removed and set aside.  Except for nursing infants, food belongs outside the studio, as do distracting toys.  It's helpful if children are taken to the bathroom before class starts, and hand-washing is a must for all of us!  If you suspect your child is contagious, please stay home, call, and see if it's possible to arrange a makeup.  Any instruments that are "mouthed" need to be cleaned fully before returning to the common supply. A sheet with more specific information may be available to you in class, but the most important thing is this:  enjoy making music with your child and this musical community!

QUESTIONS/COMMENTS/CONCERNS:  Please feel free to talk to me about anything that comes up--I want to know how things are going for you!  The times right before and after class are often too congested for that, so telephone or e-mail me, and I'll get right back to you.  Thanks!    mgb
